This trip always resonates with me deeply, much like the massive roots of an ancient tree with which I shared a campsite in Vermont. Though it\u2019s only a week long, I manage to pack a lot into a short amount of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This was the 33rd annual Pigsnout wherein a collection of cousins, close relatives and occasional guests gather somewhere in the Adirondacks for a weekend or so of adventure. The event reminds me of Thorough\u2019s&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theadkx.org\/the-philosophers-camp-at-follensby-pond\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Philosophers&#8217; Camp at Follensby Pond<\/a>&nbsp;although many may find our Pigsnout to be a much more sophisticated arrangement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m always awed by the Adirondacks&#8217; beauty and majesty; this trip was no different. It was a fantastic ride through the six million-acre park, with all its charming hamlets, local folk, and rich history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just before and after Pigsnout were a few rounds of disc golf. The Green Mountain pro tournament was taking place at Smugglers Notch, VT and although I\u2019ve played the Fox Run course before it was a bit crazy there with the tournament.
